Reuters reported that shots were fired during Donald Trump's rally in Pennsylvania, resulting in the former president being escorted off the stage by security officials.
According to Reuters, Trump initially fell to the ground while giving a speech and was quickly surrounded by armed security, remaining on the ground for about a minute.
He then stood up, waved his fist in the air and was escorted off the stage in a vehicle. Video footage shows blood on his ear as he holds his head while being led away.
The Secret Service has implemented protective measures and the former president is safe, a spokesman said after what the agency called an incident.
