XRP Moves Ahead of BNB in Crypto Market Rankings
XRP has reclaimed a higher position in the crypto market hierarchy, overtaking BNB to become the fourth-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, according to the latest market data.
The shift reflects stronger recent momentum in XRP rather than any sharp sell-off in BNB, signaling a rotation at the top end of the rankings rather than broad weakness.
At the time of writing, XRP was trading around $1.99, posting solid gains across multiple time frames. Its market capitalization reached approximately $122.4 billion, supported by a circulating supply of about 60.7 billion XRP. Trading activity also picked up, with roughly $4.3 billion in volume recorded over the past 24 hours – a key factor behind its move up the rankings.
By comparison, BNB was priced near $874.3, with more modest short-term gains. Its market capitalization stood at roughly $120.5 billion, slightly below XRP’s, despite a much smaller circulating supply of around 137.7 million BNB. Daily trading volume for BNB lagged behind at about $2.4 billion.
Momentum, Not Weakness, Drives the Flip
The ranking change was driven primarily by XRP’s stronger price appreciation and higher trading activity over the past week. While BNB continued to trend higher on a longer view, its relative underperformance in the most recent sessions allowed XRP to edge ahead in total market value.
Importantly, the data shows no abrupt deterioration in BNB’s price structure. Instead, the flip underscores how incremental gains – when combined with rising volume – can quickly reshuffle positions among the largest digital assets.
A Competitive Top Tier
Both XRP and BNB remain firmly entrenched among the largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, just behind Bitcoin and Ethereum. The latest ordering highlights how competitive the upper tier has become, where small differences in price action and liquidity can determine rank.
For now, XRP’s return to fourth place reflects renewed momentum and market interest, while BNB’s position suggests stability rather than decline – a reminder that leadership within the top five can shift quickly as capital rotates across major assets.
