Revolut X launches AI integration, allowing users to analyze markets and prepare crypto trades via natural language while maintaining human oversight.

According to information from The Block, a new functionality allows users to analyze the market, manage portfolios, and prepare trades using natural language, turning artificial intelligence into a primary interface for cryptocurrency trading.

AI Becomes the New Interface for Crypto Trading

Through this integration, users can connect Revolut X accounts with popular AI assistants capable of executing tasks via simple text instructions. Instead of manually clicking through the exchange’s traditional menus, investors can ask their chosen AI model to analyze token movements, assess portfolio risk, set price alerts, or draft market and limit orders.

The platform also offers advanced strategy modeling. For instance, a user can describe a specific trading strategy, and the AI assistant can simulate its historical performance while suggesting parameter optimizations.

This integration relies on a universal interface published by Revolut on GitHub. This approach enables the use of external AI tools without requiring users to possess programming skills or develop custom software.

The company emphasizes a “human-in-the-loop” model. While AI can prepare a trade, execution only occurs after explicit confirmation from the client. Revolut also clarified that it does not recommend specific AI platforms and bears no responsibility for errors or losses resulting from their use.

Revolut’s AI Strategy Enters a New Phase

The integration with external AI models comes just months after the debut of AIR (AI by Revolut)—the company’s internal digital assistant designed to help users with banking, investment management, and daily financial services. While AIR primarily focuses on in-app customer service, the new Revolut X functionality goes further by allowing independent AI systems to interact directly with crypto exchange data and features.

This move reflects a broader trend in the financial industry. Institutions and fintech firms are actively integrating “agentic AI”—systems that do more than just provide information, performing specific actions on behalf of the user given the necessary approval.

These developments also coincide with Revolut’s crypto business adapting to the new European MiCA regulatory framework. The company is already adjusting the crypto assets available to clients in the European Economic Area, including the phased removal of support for the USDT stablecoin, with a final withdrawal deadline set for August 31, 2026.

By integrating external AI assistants, Revolut X positions itself among the first regulated crypto platforms to turn conversational interfaces into tools for active investment management. Although the final decision remains with the client, the initiative highlights how artificial intelligence is evolving from an analytical aid into an active participant in the investment decision and execution process.
