Bitcoin spot ETFs saw $170.1M in net inflows on August 3, led by BlackRock, while Ethereum funds faced outflows and XRP attracted new institutional capital.

Market sentiment remains cautious as the Fear and Greed Index climbed to 36 points, though it still lingers firmly within the “Fear” zone. Recent data highlights that institutional demand continues to bolster Bitcoin, even as other digital assets experience mixed capital flows.

Bitcoin ETFs Attract Capital Once Again

According to data from FarSide Investors, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded a net daily inflow of $170.1 million on August 3. This performance marks a reversal of the negative trend observed at the end of the previous week.

BlackRock’s IBIT was the primary driver, attracting $111.4 million, followed by Fidelity’s FBTC with $33.4 million. Other funds reporting positive flows included Bitwise BITB (+$2.8 million), ARKB (+$2.1 million), Invesco BTCO (+$6.7 million), Franklin EZBC (+$9.2 million), and VanEck HODL (+$4.5 million).

Notably, Grayscale’s GBTC saw no outgoing flows during this period, suggesting that the persistent selling pressure on the fund may finally be stabilizing.

Ethereum Remains Under Pressure

In contrast to Bitcoin’s recovery, spot Ethereum ETFs ended the day with a net outflow of $11.9 million. The primary downward pressure originated from BlackRock’s ETHA, which saw $9 million in withdrawals, and Grayscale’s ETHE with $7.8 million in outflows.

Some of these losses were mitigated by BlackRock’s ETHB, which managed to attract $5.8 million. These diverging flows indicate that institutional investors maintain a more guarded stance toward Ethereum, despite the broader market stabilizing in recent days.

XRP Attracts New Capital

The XRP ETF market continues its expansion, with funds reporting a net inflow of $1.15 million. Based on information from Coinglass, the entirety of this inflow was directed toward the Canary XRP ETF (XRPC).

Other products, including Franklin XRPZ, Bitwise XRP ETF, and Grayscale GXRP, concluded the session with no change in holdings. While the figures remain modest compared to Bitcoin ETFs, the positive movement suggests sustained interest in emerging XRP investment vehicles.

Market Maintains Cautious Optimism

Across the broader market, Ethereum is trading at approximately $1,855, BNB is near $588, and Solana sits at $73. Cardano emerged as a standout among major cryptocurrencies, posting a gain of over 4% within the last 24 hours.

Despite improving sentiment, volatility remains high, evidenced by $204.4 million in crypto market liquidations over the past day. The recovery in Bitcoin ETF flows coupled with interest in new XRP funds suggests institutions are gradually returning, though capital remains selective, favoring assets with the strongest short-term momentum.

In this environment of uncertainty, selecting a secure crypto wallet is becoming increasingly vital for investors. For a detailed analysis of asset protection, refer to the article “The Best Crypto Wallets for 2026,” which explores top options based on security, convenience, and functionality.
