Fidelity and Canary have advanced their efforts to bring altcoin-focused exchange-traded funds (ETFs) to the U.S. market.

On September 11, the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) quietly added three spot ETF products to its platform, including:

  • Fidelity’s Solana ETF (FSOL)
  • Canary’s HBAR ETF (HBR)
  • Canary’s XRP ETF (XRPC)

While this listing does not equal regulatory approval, it represents a required step in the preparation process for issuers. DTCC typically adds ETFs ahead of potential launches to ensure the technical infrastructure is in place should the funds receive the green light.

The development signals that issuers remain committed to expanding crypto ETF offerings beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum. The crypto community has taken notice, viewing DTCC’s move as a sign of progress and an indication that regulatory approval may follow.

Still, the final decision rests with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Only after the SEC grants permission can these products officially launch on U.S. exchanges. Until then, the listings serve as an early indicator of market readiness and institutional intent.

For Solana, XRP, and HBAR, the prospect of dedicated ETFs represents a potential milestone in mainstream adoption, potentially channeling traditional capital into these ecosystems once approvals are secured.
