Sui Deepens Its Financial Infrastructure With Fully US-Aligned USDsui Stablecoin
Sui is rolling out a new native stablecoin, USDsui, created through Bridge’s Open Issuance platform - the same tokenization framework that Stripe acquired earlier this year.
The release marks a major expansion of Sui’s onchain financial infrastructure, aiming to boost liquidity, cross-chain usability, and real-world payment functionality across the network.
USDsui is built as a regulated, reward-generating digital dollar intended to serve as a foundational asset for DeFi platforms, payment systems, and consumer applications running on Sui. The coin follows the compliance standards built into Bridge’s issuance system, aligning with proposed U.S. digital-dollar rules, including frameworks modeled after the GENIUS Act.
Once live, USDsui will sit at the center of many Sui applications: lending and AMM protocols, yield platforms, major wallets including MetaMask and Phantom, and commerce solutions that rely on Sui’s fast, parallelized execution. The network’s high throughput makes the stablecoin a strong fit for micropayments, enterprise settlement layers, and international transfers where speed and predictable value matter.
The coin is powered by Bridge’s infrastructure – now under Stripe – which enables compliant stablecoin creation across multiple blockchains. Because of this, USDsui will be interoperable with other Bridge-issued digital dollars, improving cross-chain liquidity and reducing the fragmentation seen in today’s stablecoin markets.
Revenue generated from issuing USDsui will be funneled back into the Sui ecosystem, supporting grants, developer programs, incentives, and broader network expansion across areas like gaming, payments, enterprise tools, and financial services.
Overall, USDsui represents Sui’s push toward building a regulated, high-performance financial layer that blends modern blockchain execution with institutional-grade digital-dollar infrastructure – strengthened by Stripe’s growing role in Web3.
