CoinMarketCap’s momentum tracker has flagged three tokens making significant moves this week: Aster (ASTER), THENA (THE), and Orderly (ORDER).

Each is benefiting from strong news catalysts, surging trading volumes, and heightened investor interest.

Aster surges on token launch and airdrop

Aster has emerged as one of the week’s standout performers, climbing more than 30% in 24 hours and nearly 1,800% over the past seven days. The rally followed the launch of its token and a massive airdrop on September 17, which unlocked around 704 million ASTER, roughly 9% of total supply.

Daily trading volume has already exceeded $2.5 billion, reflecting intense speculation and institutional participation across multiple chains, including BNB Chain and Solana. Temporary withdrawal restrictions until October 1 have added to the sense of scarcity, intensifying volatility. Market watchers caution, however, that once lockups expire, sharp corrections could follow.

THENA rallies on derivatives expansion

THENA posted the strongest daily gain of the three, soaring more than 70% after rolling out high-leverage perpetual contracts through Orbs’ Perpetual Hub Ultra. The integration has fueled a surge of activity on the BNB Chain, which itself has recorded ecosystem-wide growth in total value locked.

Technical indicators also back the bullish case, with RSI readings showing heavy momentum. Analysts note that sustaining trading volume above $449 million per day will be key to confirming a long-term breakout rather than a temporary spike.

Orderly gains on Binance liquidity bridge

Orderly extended its weekly gains to nearly 100%, driven by the launch of its OmniVault upgrade, which links directly to Binance’s liquidity pools. The move has attracted institutional traders, with daily volume jumping 132% year-over-year to $232 million.

The platform’s customizable risk tools are seen as a differentiator, supporting its ambition to become a leading provider of omnichain trading infrastructure.
