Nasdaq to Delist Windtree Therapeutics, a BNB Treasury Company, Over Rule Breach
Windtree Therapeutics (NASDAQ: WINT) is set to lose its Nasdaq listing after failing to maintain the exchange’s minimum price requirement.
According to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Wednesday, the biotech company confirmed that it had breached Nasdaq Listing Rule 5550(a)(2), which requires shares to trade at or above $1.00. As a result, Nasdaq informed Windtree that trading of its common stock will be suspended starting August 21, 2025.
Windtree’s chief executive, Jed Latkin, acknowledged the decision in the filing. The company’s stock price has endured a dramatic collapse, losing over 90% in the past month and more than 99% since the start of the year, according to Yahoo Finance. On Wednesday, shares plunged another 76% to $0.11 before market close.
The stock first slipped under $1 in May and has failed to recover consistently since then. Nasdaq has recently taken similar action against other firms, including bitcoin miner Argo Blockchain (ARGO), which was delisted in July for the same rule violation.
