Litecoin Recovers Social Media Account After Brief Hack Promoting Scam Token
On January 11, Litecoin’s official social media account fell victim to a brief hacking incident, during which a scammer attempted to promote a fake Litecoin token on the Solana network.
The fraudulent post claimed, “LTC is now in Solana,” and included a contract address alongside a suspicious link to a scam platform called pump.fun.
The post, riddled with grammatical errors, was quickly deleted once the Litecoin team regained access to the account. According to their update, the breach occurred through a compromised delegated account, which has since been deactivated to prevent further incidents.
