ethereum: best crypto to buy now

While crypto prices remain range-bound, the broader market sentiment is improving rapidly. In particular, Ethereum, real-world tokenization (RWA) tokens, and layer-2 assets are among the best crypto to buy now.

The US Federal Reserve is widely expected to cut interest rates on Wednesday, and Bank of America Global Research’s Mark Cabana says the central bank could also announce a $45 billion monthly Treasury buyback program starting in January.

Such a balance sheet expansion would inject fresh liquidity into financial markets, a dynamic that historically fuels rallies in risk assets.

Meanwhile, market intelligence platform CryptoQuant has given a “buy” signal for altcoins. It highlights that altcoins have officially re-entered a historical accumulation zone as trading volumes fall below their long-term averages.

In previous cycles, this same setup has consistently marked the early stages of major altcoin rallies.

Best Crypto To Buy Now: Time To Buy Ethereum and These Altcoins

Ethereum (ETH)

Ethereum is the best crypto to buy now, replacing Bitcoin from the top spot.

It is not without reason that smart money traders have opened massive long positions in ETH. Lookonchain data shows that a whale called Bitcoin OG, who shorted the crypto market just before the October 10th flash crash, has just opened a $209.8 million ETH long position.

Similarly, the “Anti-CZ” whale and “pension-usdt.eth” have opened $194 million and $62.5 million ETH long positions, respectively.

Meanwhile, ETH’s technicals paint a massively bullish picture. Both the ETHBTC trading pair and the Ethereum dominance (ETH.D) are trending higher.

Crucially, Ethereum’s on-balance volume (OBV) has also secured a major breakout, which is the final signal before the price actually starts to rally.

Notably, the Ethereum supply on exchanges has already plummeted to a decade low, owing to the strong buying pressure from treasury firms like BitMine. Once the demand ramps up, the ETH price could explode to $7000 by January 2026.

Ondo (ONDO)

Ondo (ONDO) has once again joined the list of top crypto investments.

The US Securities and Exchange Commission has ended its 2-year investigation into ONDO Finance without any charges, paving the way for renewed institutional investment.

Earlier this week, SEC Chair Paul Atkins claimed that the entire US financial market will be onchain within the next two years. Previously, the New York Stock Exchange met with the SEC for discussions over tokenized equities.

With Ondo being one of the largest players in the tokenization and RWA sector, it is expected to benefit significantly from the accelerating onchain migration of traditional financial assets.

$ONDO is currently trading at $0.47, nearly 80% below its all-time high. This means that investors buying at the current price can see up to 4x returns in the coming weeks.

Arbitrum (ARB)

Arbitrum is emerging as one of the strongest Layer-2 performers in the current market cycle, backed by accelerating on-chain activity and rising capital inflows.

According to Nansen, Arbitrum has recorded a 49% surge in transactions over the past week, the highest growth among major L2 networks.

DEX volumes are also expanding, up 18% week-on-week, signalling healthy trading demand. At the same time, strong WETH and WBTC inflows suggest that large players are parking capital on-chain in anticipation of higher prices.

Growing stablecoin usage further reinforces Arbitrum’s position as a liquidity hub for the next leg of the Ethereum-driven altcoin rally.

The ARB price is up by 11% over the past 24 hours, trading at $0.214 at press time with a $1.2 billion market capitalization. Yet, it is currently trading 90% below its all-time high, making it one of the most undervalued altcoins on the market.

Optimism (OP)

Another Ethereum layer-2 coin, Optimism (OP), is making a strong case for being one of the best cryptocurrencies to buy.

The OP price is up by over 10% in the past week. Yet, with a market capitalization of just $600 million, it is trading 93% below its all-time high.

However, Optimism is on the cusp of a breakout from a multi-month downtrend in the 12-hour timeframe.

A clean breakout could pave the way for a 100% rally in just the next few days. Over the long term, the Optimism price could see a multibagger rally to new highs.

Bitcoin Hyper (HYPER)

Bitcoin Hyper, a new BTC layer-2 coin, rounds out our list of the best crypto to buy now.

It is the newest entrant in the layer-2 sector and is still in its presale phase. However, it is already going viral and has raised over $29 million in its ICO.

Just as whales are opening 9-figure long positions in Ethereum, they are also investing high six-figures in HYPER. Etherscan recently flagged several six-figure buys into the token, with one purchase being as high as $650k.

Bitcoin Hyper is expected to emerge as a big player within the Bitcoin ecosystem. With its cutting-edge zero-knowledge architecture and integrated Solana Virtua, Machine, it could soon be the launching pad for every DeFi app, payment protocols and even meme coins.

It is not without reason that layer-2 projects tend to have multibillion-dollar valuations. Many top analysts are calling HYPER the next 10x crypto as well, especially considering its 40% staking rewards.
