A well-known crypto analyst is predicting massive growth for a relatively new sector in the cryptocurrency space.
Pentoshi believes that the real-world assets (RWA) sector could achieve a $1 trillion market cap by 2030, if not sooner.
The RWA sector involves the tokenization of physical assets like real estate and bonds, bringing them onto blockchain platforms. This development opens the door for fractional ownership, allowing smaller investors to own portions of high-value assets.
Pentoshi emphasized the immense potential of this emerging market: “Tokenization will eventually encompass everything, and the infrastructure is already being built.”
Currently, the RWA market is valued under $40 billion, but analysts see substantial room for expansion.
When discussing altcoins, Pentoshi noted the difficulties many of these assets have faced in the current market cycle, attributing their struggles to the increased competition and complexity within the space. He pointed out that when he first entered the market, DeFi wasn’t a concept yet, and the number of cryptocurrencies was much smaller. “The market has grown dramatically, from a combined altcoin market cap of $13 billion to a multi-trillion dollar industry,” he said.
Pentoshi encouraged long-term investors to stay patient, reminding them that crypto’s influence is growing rapidly and that early adopters are now starting to shape global politics. He also emphasized the shift towards widespread tokenization and predicted that in the coming years, almost everything will be on-chain. “Crypto is evolving fast, and though it may take longer than expected, we’re moving forward at an incredible pace,” he concluded.
