Bitwise CEO Foresees Crypto Evolution in 2025

Hunter Horsley, CEO of Bitwise, predicts 2025 will be a turning point for cryptocurrency, with tokenization, AI-driven business growth, and increased corporate Bitcoin adoption reshaping the landscape.

Horsley shared his insights via a series of X posts, describing the coming year as pivotal for technological and economic transformation.

Tokenization, he explained, holds untapped potential for small businesses, enabling them to access capital markets in ways previously reserved for large enterprises. By digitizing assets like real estate and equity, blockchain technology could empower niche markets, creating a surge in real-world asset tokenization.

Horsley also highlighted artificial intelligence as a driver of change, forecasting a rise in specialized, tokenized companies. AI could fuel the growth of micro businesses that may never pursue IPOs but could thrive in decentralized markets, expanding the long-tail economy.

The concept of “Bitcoin Standard Corporations” is another key trend Horsley sees for 2025. Following examples like MicroStrategy, more companies are expected to hold Bitcoin on their balance sheets as part of their treasury strategies, further solidifying Bitcoin’s role in corporate finance.

Horsley also suggested that the new U.S. administration could unlock corporate mergers and acquisitions, creating opportunities for crypto. As tech giants consolidate power, the foundational principles of crypto—decentralization and self-sovereignty—could become more relevant than ever.

With advancements in tokenization, AI, and corporate adoption, Horsley envisions 2025 as a transformative year for crypto, paving the way for new opportunities in a rapidly evolving digital economy.
