Binance is set to launch an airdrop valued up to $1 million in BNB for users impacted by Typhoon Yagi.
This initiative is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to support communities in crisis.
The airdrop will focus on 25 cities in northern Vietnam severely hit by the typhoon. Binance Charity will use proof of address (POA) submissions to identify eligible recipients. Users who complete their POA by September 10, 2024, will receive $50 worth of BNB in their Binance accounts.
Those who complete the POA by September 30, 2024, but registered before September 10, will receive $20 worth of BNB.
The initial batch of donations is scheduled for distribution starting September 16, 2024. Binance CEO Richard Teng hopes this support will aid those in need and underscores Binance’s commitment to the affected areas.
This airdrop follows Binance Charity’s previous aid efforts in Vietnam, including providing salt water filtration systems and medical supplies.
