Binance has confirmed it will facilitate the upcoming upgrade of the THORChain (RUNE) network, aiming to ensure a seamless transition for users during the blockchain’s scheduled improvements.
As part of the process, Binance will temporarily disable deposits and withdrawals involving RUNE tokens starting at 21:00 (UTC) on June 17, 2025. The upgrade itself is slated to go live at block height 21,574,000, which is projected to be reached approximately one hour later.
While transfers will be paused, trading of RUNE on Binance will continue uninterrupted. The exchange also clarified that all necessary technical preparations will be handled internally, requiring no action from users.
Once the network upgrade is successfully finalized and operations are deemed stable, deposit and withdrawal services will automatically resume—though Binance noted it does not plan to issue a separate update when they reopen.
