A cryptocurrency trader and analyst, known as Sherpa, is advising caution on the potential performance of altcoins during the current market cycle.
He believes that altcoins may underperform compared to previous cycles and time periods.
Sherpa suggests that altcoins might not experience the same significant gains seen earlier in the year or reach new all-time highs as they did in 2021. He also thinks that some altcoins may have already peaked for this cycle.
He emphasizes the importance of setting realistic expectations. According to Sherpa, the fact that Bitcoin may perform strongly does not necessarily mean that altcoins will follow suit.
He points out that market dynamics have changed considerably, making it unlikely that many coins will experience the kind of parabolic price movements seen in the past.
Despite this cautious outlook on altcoins, Sherpa remains optimistic about Bitcoin and believes it could reach $100,000 in the coming months. He also thinks that some altcoins could hit new all-time highs in their US dollar value, although he is uncertain which specific ones will do so.
