With a total circulating supply of approximately 120.7 million ETH, this treasury now represents roughly 4.8% of all existing tokens, according to the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.prnewswire.com\/news-releases\/bitmine-immersion-technologies-bmnr-announces-eth-holdings-reach-5-82-million-tokens-and-total-crypto-and-total-cash-holdings-of-11-4-billion-302852583.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">latest report from BitMine<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While the most recent purchase is relatively small compared to the total portfolio size, it maintains an unbroken streak. Chairman Tom Lee noted that BitMine has purchased ETH every single week since launching its current strategy on June 30, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">More importantly, the company is now on the verge of its self-defined \u201cAlchemy of 5%\u201d goal. BitMine currently views its position as having achieved 96% of its plan to accumulate 5% of the total Ethereum supply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This leaves the firm approximately 220,000 ETH away from its ultimate target.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Over 87% of the Portfolio is Yield-Bearing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The sheer size of the position is only one aspect of the strategy. BitMine has already staked 5,067,309 ETH, accounting for about 87% of its entire Ethereum portfolio. Using the company\u2019s internal valuation price of $1,893, this represents approximately $9.6 billion in assets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This shift distinguishes the business model from a standard corporate \u201cbuy and hold\u201d strategy. By staking ETH to participate in network validation, the company generates rewards, allowing it to extract ongoing income from its core reserve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">BitMine estimates its current annual staking revenue at approximately $250 million, based on a seven-day annualized yield of 2.61%. If the entire ETH portfolio were staked through its proprietary MAVAN platform and partners, the company projects annual rewards could reach $287 million. These figures are projections and subject to change based on network yields and the total amount of ETH staked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This represents a fundamental economic shift for BitMine: as the ETH reserve grows, the potential base for generating staking revenue expands proportionally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Share Buyback Program Continues<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Parallel to its accumulation of crypto assets, BitMine is actively reducing its outstanding share count.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last week, the company repurchased 1.7 million common shares, bringing the total volume of buybacks since early July to over 20.8 million shares. These operations are part of a previously authorized buyback program valued at up to $4 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The combination of these two initiatives is significant for investors. While ETH accumulation increases the absolute size of the crypto reserve, the share buybacks reduce the number of shares among which the economic value of that reserve is distributed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, the net effect depends on how BitMine finances future purchases. If the company raises capital through new share issuances, the resulting dilution must be weighed against the impact of the buyback program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">BitMine Total Assets Reach $11.4 Billion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As of August 16, the total value of BitMine\u2019s crypto assets, cash, liquid securities, and strategic investments stood at approximately $11.4 billion. In addition to its 5.815 million ETH, the company holds 210 BTC, $78 million in cash and marketable securities, and strategic investments including $180 million in Beast Industries and $73 million in Eightco Holdings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This balance sheet structure highlights a heavy concentration in Ethereum. The ETH position alone is valued at roughly $11 billion based on BitMine\u2019s $1,893 price benchmark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company currently holds the largest public Ethereum reserve and ranks second only to Strategy in terms of total corporate crypto reserves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The next major milestone for the firm is no longer the weekly purchase updates, but reaching the 5% supply threshold of the leading altcoin.
