This outcome was made possible by successful asset sales, the recovery of substantial sums through legal proceedings, and the robust price appreciation of certain investments held by FTX since the exchange collapsed in 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Additional Payments and Fraud Warning<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beyond the creditor distribution, FTX will also make a second payment to preferred shareholders. On July 31, an additional $18 million will be distributed, bringing the total funds paid out via the \u201cPreferred Shareholder Remission Fund Trust\u201d (PSRFT) to $95 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company issued a stern warning to all creditors to use only the official \u201cFTX Customer Portal\u201d for information regarding the process. The exchange noted a rise in phishing attempts targeting affected users in recent months. FTX emphasized that it will never require users to connect a crypto wallet or provide private keys to receive funds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This fifth round of payments signals that the bankruptcy proceedings are entering a more mature phase.
