Let\u2019s not sugarcoat it \u2013 the crypto charts are ugly right now. Bitcoin\u2019s slide from its October high has dragged the entire market down, but Ethereum (ETH) seems to be taking the hit harder than most. We\u2019ve watched the second-largest crypto asset shed nearly 40% of its value from its summer peak.<\/p>\n

Over $20 billion in leveraged positions was wiped out recently, forcing a cascade of selling that crushed open interest. When you combine that with liquidity freezing up and spot ETFs seeing more redemptions than inflows, there hasn\u2019t been enough new capital to halt the slide.<\/p>\n

But we\u2019ve looked at the market structure \u2013 and our Ethereum price prediction suggests that while the pain isn\u2019t quite over, the bottom is a lot closer than it seems. The data points to a likely liquidity grab below the $3,000 level, which would set the stage for an ETH rally back to $4,000.<\/p>\n

Not everyone\u2019s waiting around for ETH to bottom, though. Plenty of traders are rotating into lower-cap projects that could run even harder. One that\u2019s getting lots of attention right now is PEPENODE (PEPENODE)<\/a>, which is developing a new \u201cMine-to-Earn\u201d game.<\/p>\n

Ethereum Price Prediction \u2013 Why ETH Might Dip Below $3K Before Rallying<\/h2>\n

Ethereum<\/a> has lost a huge multi-month ascending trendline that dates back to April\u2019s low. When you break a trendline that important, you rarely just V-shape back up immediately. Instead, price retests the breakdown level to confirm it as resistance \u2013 which is what we\u2019re seeing play out.<\/p>\n

The daily chart isn\u2019t offering any relief either, with lower highs and lower lows well below the 200-day EMA. Plus, the RSI is now hovering just above oversold, which is a dangerous spot. It often comes before an \u201cacceleration phase\u201d \u2013 one final flush to wreck the last batch of longs before a reversal.<\/p>\n

If Ethereum drops below $3,000, the $2,800-$2,900 zone will be an important one to watch. It\u2019s a high-volume node from earlier this year, and lines up perfectly with the 0.618 Fibonacci retracement of the entire bull leg. That is a clear demand zone.<\/p>\n

Tagging that zone could trigger violent mean reversion \u2013 traders often visualize it as a rubber band snapping back. That\u2019s why a clean bounce from $2,800 or $2,900 puts a move back to $4,000 on the table for Ethereum.<\/p>\n

Ethereum\u2019s Fundamentals Align for a Reversal<\/h2>\n

Ethereum\u2019s Fusaka upgrade<\/a> hits mainnet on December 3 \u2013 just weeks away. This upgrade expands future blob capacity with PeerDAS and effectively drives Layer-2 fees toward zero. Historically, major upgrades mark local bottoms for ETH.<\/p>\n

Plus, the timing couldn\u2019t be better for institutions. Institutional ETF inflows were minimal above $4,000 ETH, as big players tend not to chase highs. So, a dip below $3,000 gives them the entry they\u2019ve been waiting for, mirroring the Bitcoin ETF accumulation we saw in 2024.<\/p>\n
