Bitcoin\u2019s main use case has always been storing value and offsetting inflation \u2013 but actual economic value comes from productive monetary systems, not from hoarding. The most used L2 is the Bitcoin Lightning Network, which creates micropayment channels with theoretically limitless throughput. However, the Lightning Network doesn\u2019t support smart contracts, capping BTC at just monetary transfers.<\/p>\n

So while the Lightning Network helps power the real-world economy, it lacks the programmability that\u2019s attracting traditional finance (TradFi) and state actors to blockchain technology for asset tokenization, decentralized finance (DeFi), and other innovative use cases.<\/p>\n

The current leading smart contract Bitcoin L2s, Stacks, and Rootstock, are capable of up to 50 and 300 TPS, respectively. That\u2019s a solid upgrade from Bitcoin\u2019s throughput, but it\u2019s still miles behind other modern blockchains \u2013 so this is where Bitcoin Hyper<\/a> steps in.<\/p>\n

Bitcoin Hyper\u2019s $27.5 million total raise clearly reflects investor support, far exceeding Ethereum\u2019s ICO raise and making it one of the largest presales of 2025. However, it\u2019s not only retail investors taking part; top analysts are backing HYPER, too.<\/p>\n

For example, Borch Crypto<\/a> (93,000 subscribers) said HYPER could \u201cexplode soon\u201d in a video posted on YouTube on Thursday. Meanwhile, the Cryptonews YouTube channel predicted HYPER could generate 100x gains in a video posted the same day.<\/p>\n
