Altcoins have been doing some serious work in recent weeks. The crypto market cap has seen a 10% increase since late September, yet Bitcoin dominance has dropped below 60%. That\u2019s usually when capital starts flowing out of BTC and into alts that have been waiting for their turn.<\/p>\n

Zcash (ZEC) is an example of one of these coins. The privacy-focused token has ripped 50% higher in the past week, pushing its market cap above $3.6 billion and hitting levels we haven\u2019t seen since November 2021. ZEC is now the 12th most-traded crypto on the planet.<\/p>\n

Bitcoin Hyper (HYPER)<\/a> is drawing a different kind of attention. The ongoing HYPER token presale has raised almost $23 million, showing just how much excitement there is for this new Bitcoin Layer-2 project.<\/p>\n

Zcash Breaks Out After Years in the Shadows<\/h2>\n

Zcash<\/a> is trading at $229 today after a rally that\u2019s been building momentum since mid-August. The token\u2019s up 17% in the past 24 hours, 50% over the last week, and an absolutely wild 370% across the past month.<\/p>\n

Spot trading volume backs up the story \u2013 over $1.4 billion worth of ZEC changed hands in the last day. That means more ZEC was traded than altcoin giants like Cardano and Chainlink.<\/p>\n

The token remains 96% below its 2016 all-time high, so this isn\u2019t a complete comeback story just yet. But the momentum shift is undeniable. And now social sentiment is 76% bullish on CoinMarketCap.<\/p>\n

But given how aggressively ZEC has rallied, some investors are concerned the token might crash. We saw a similar thing happen back in March 2022 when ZEC exploded higher \u2013 then dumped 36% in the three weeks that followed.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s Driving This Week\u2019s Zcash Rally?<\/h2>\n

Zcash\u2019s rally didn\u2019t come out of nowhere. Grayscale recently announced that its Zcash Trust (ZCSH)<\/a> has been reopened for private placement, allowing investors to gain exposure without having to buy ZEC directly. That led to immediate speculation about a potential spot ZEC ETF soon.<\/p>\n

Shielded transaction volume<\/a> has also been climbing, which is important because it indicates actual usage rather than traders simply flipping ZEC for profit. Users are genuinely tapping into Zcash\u2019s privacy features \u2013 those zero-knowledge (zk) proofs that hide sender, recipient, and transaction amounts.<\/p>\n

And unsurprisingly, ZEC\u2019s price surge also kicked off a familiar chain reaction: short squeezes. Traders who were betting against ZEC got liquidated as the rally picked up steam, forcing them to buy back their positions and pushing the token\u2019s price even higher.<\/p>\n

At the same time, many investors have been rotating<\/a> into privacy coins and policy-sensitive projects, with ZEC benefiting from that tailwind. All these factors combined have created a perfect storm for Zcash.<\/p>\n

Bitcoin Hyper Positioned as the Next Crypto to Explode as Presale Nears $23M<\/h2>\n

While Zcash is getting headlines, Bitcoin Hyper<\/a> has been building a different kind of story \u2013 one driven by whale accumulation. On-chain data shows large wallets loading up<\/a> on HYPER during the presale, with individual buys coming in at $327,000, $193,000, and $382,000 over the past week.<\/p>\n

One wallet alone scooped up more than half a million dollars\u2019 worth of HYPER across just two transactions. That\u2019s not retail traders \u2013 that\u2019s high-net-worth investors who know what they\u2019re doing.<\/p>\n
