According to comments made at the OECD event on September 11, SEC Chair Paul Atkins signaled support for more tailored crypto regulations under a new framework dubbed \u201cProject Crypto.\u201d He criticized the regulator\u2019s history of \u201caggressive enforcement\u201d and suggested a unified licensing system.<\/p>\n

This development follows the GENIUS Act passed in July 2025, which laid the groundwork for stablecoin oversight. Analysts note that clearer rules typically encourage more institutional adoption. For instance, Galaxy Digital boosted its XRP holdings by $34.4 million, while Anchorage Digital, custodian for BlackRock\u2019s ETF, reported stronger inflows.<\/p>\n

Investors now await the SEC-CFTC joint roundtable on DeFi and tokenization, scheduled between September 15 and 20, as the next policy milestone.<\/p>\n
