Unlike blockchains tied to individual players or payment processors, Google\u2019s network is being positioned as an open platform that any institution can build upon.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAdyen isn\u2019t going to adopt Stripe\u2019s blockchain, and Tether won\u2019t rely on Circle\u2019s,\u201d Widmann noted, explaining why a trusted third-party infrastructure provider could fill the gap. With GCUL, institutions will have the option to deploy Python-based smart contracts, bringing one of the world\u2019s most widely used programming languages into financial automation.<\/p>\n<h2>Private testnet in motion<\/h2>\n<p>The ledger is already live in a private testnet phase, with more details expected to emerge in upcoming announcements.
