Ripple\u2019s long-running battle with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is officially over. Both sides filed to dismiss their remaining appeals this week, effectively finalizing last year\u2019s court ruling that XRP is not a security in public sales.<\/p>\n

XRP\u2019s price jumped about 11% on the news to roughly $3.3, climbing back into the top three cryptocurrencies by market value. Trading volumes spiked as traders loaded up on options bets, anticipating more big swings ahead, as US policymakers might soon allow 401(k) plans to include crypto. XRP Breaks Bull Flag Pattern, Eyes $5 Price Target<\/strong><\/h2>\n

XRP\u2019s daily chart has witnessed a decisive patterned breakout, reinforcing hopes for a continued rally. After a strong July surge, the altcoin spent recent weeks consolidating in a classic downward-sloping bull flag pattern.<\/p>\n

The brief downtrend ended this week when XRP\u2019s price broke above the flag\u2019s upper trendline to reach around $3.3, confirming an upside breakout and keeping the uptrend intact.<\/p>\n
