XRP (XRP) has been a centerpiece of crypto conversations for years, with its community patiently waiting for a new all-time high. And right now, a growing number of analysts are suggesting that such a high could finally be on the horizon.<\/p>\n

The price charts are showing bullish signals, leading some analysts to target the $5 mark for XRP before the end of the year. Reaching $5 would represent a 57% jump from today\u2019s price of $3.15.<\/p>\n

But with XRP\u2019s future still up in the air, some investors are already looking at other altcoins instead. That\u2019s why many are rotating into smaller projects like Bitcoin Hyper (HYPER), which has raised over $5.7 million in funding for its Layer-2 scaling solution for Bitcoin.<\/p>\n

XRP Cools Off After Strong Rally \u2013 But What\u2019s Next?<\/h2>\n

XRP<\/a> is experiencing a slight cooldown after a very strong month. The token\u2019s price has dropped about 2% in the last day and 10% over the week, but you have to zoom out to see the whole picture.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s still holding onto a 43% gain since last month, so this recent dip looks a lot like standard profit-taking. Trading metrics are reflecting this, with 24-hour spot volume slipping to $6.7 billion and open interest falling to $3.4 billion<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On-chain data tells a similar story. Daily payment volume<\/a> on the XRPL fell to $986 million yesterday, a big drop from the multi-billion-dollar peaks seen earlier this month. Plus, the movement of about 163 million dormant XRP tokens to exchanges has understandably spooked investors.<\/p>\n

Right now, XRP is consolidating above the key psychological level of $3.00. It has yet to properly retest this level as support \u2013 suggesting we may see another short-term dip before XRP rallies again.<\/p>\n

Why Bulls Predict XRP Will Rally to $5 By Year-End<\/h2>\n

Despite XRP\u2019s sell-off, many analysts believe a rebound is not just possible but likely. Much of their confidence comes down to the token\u2019s current technical setup. For instance, popular trader Dark Defender<\/a>, who has over 146,000 followers on X, recently shared his Elliott Wave analysis. He suggests that XRP has already completed three major upward waves and is now in a fourth consolidation phase. The crucial part is his target for the fifth and final wave: $5.85.<\/p>\n
