Today, we want to share a meaningful step\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Cetus\ud83d\udc33 (@CetusProtocol) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CetusProtocol\/status\/1927434763125531045?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow\">May 27, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p><\/div>\n<p>The Sui Foundation <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.sui.io\/cetus-incident-response-onchain-community-vote\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">asked the community to vote<\/a> if they should make the affected parties whole for their losses. The voting ended today with an overwhelming total of 90.9% \u2018Yes\u2019 votes.<\/p>\n<p>One of the hacker\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptodnes.bg\/en\/crypto-wallets-targeted-by-sophisticated-malware-campaign\/\">crypto wallets<\/a> containing $160 million worth of digital assets was frozen. These funds will be returned to those affected by the theft while the Sui Foundation will put down the difference.<\/p>\n<p>Most Sui-based tokens suffered significant price declines after news of the exploit came out.
